The Cass County Highway Department needed to replace a bridge. The county engineer determined that corugated steel pipe would be the most cost-effective solution and could be installed in a short time period. Fortunately, corrugated steel pipe easily accommodates phased lane construction, so the road didn’t have to close during construction.
