TrueNorth Steel Honored with NCSPA Safety Awards
At its 35th Annual Safety Awards program, the National Corrugated Steel Pipe Association (NCSPA) honored TrueNorth Steel for its ongoing diligence in safe manufacturing practices. TrueNorth Steel was among six member companies that earned safety awards this year.
TrueNorth Steel received recognition for several long-term achievements in safety, including an award for zero lost workdays at the Fargo, ND manufacturing location as well as recognition for incident rates of less than 4.2 at the Billings, MT and Huron, SD locations.
“We are pleased that the NCSPA has once again recognized the safe practices of our Corrugated Steel Pipe Division,” says Tim Wetzel, Director of Safety at TrueNorth Steel. “Safety is much more than just checking boxes. Our employees work together day in and day out to cultivate a culture of safety that assures them a healthy, productive workday and ultimately a long tenure doing what they do best.”
The NCSPA is committed to promoting sound public policy and education relating to the use of corrugated steel drainage systems in both private and public construction. Their programs offer an incentive for developing and continuing to operate safe plants and offices. In addition to safety, the NCSPA encourages greater knowledge and education about corrugated steel pipe’s benefits. For more information, visit ncspa.org.
