The fact this project was an upgrade at an existing power plant meant timing and coordination by all trades were critical to the success of the project. The existing facility was required to stay operational during the project construction and had a firm timeline that did not allow for any delay. Through pre-construction planning with the project team at TrueNorth Steel, this project finished ahead of schedule and on budget. The project went on to win the “Project of the Year” award for TIC / Kiewit.
