This southwest South Dakota culvert project required three sections of 60’ x 152’ 12 ga arched spiral rib corrugated steel pipe (CSP). TrueNorth Steel worked closely with the county department to fit the job, which was originally slated to use reinforced concrete pipe (RCP). However, when the county officials learned that poly coated CSP has equal Manning’s N flow compared to RCP, they were happy to make the product switch. In addition, TrueNorth Steel’s CSP was more readily available than RCP, so the job was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.
