A multi-plate pipe run was failing in rural North Dakota and the county needed to solve the situation quickly. They reached out to TrueNorth Steel in search of a fast, economical solution after determining that the costs and lead time to replace the structure with another multi-plate pipe or reinforced concrete box would be out of budget. Ultimately, a 64’x126″ 10ga Helical Aluminized Type II Arch 5×1 corrugated steel pipe with half headwalls was selected as the solution. In collaboration with the Burke County Highway Department and Wold Engineering, the new pipe was successfully installed efficiently and within budget.
