With more than 70 years in business, we’ve manufactured thousands of tanks and have earned an industry leading reputation for making superior products that withstand the most corrosive environments. TrueNorth Steel underground storage tanks combine the strength of steel and the protection of fiberglass to create a durable tank that installs quickly. Our high-quality tanks offer quick, easy, and hassle-free installation to keep our customers productive. In addition, we draw on our extensive experience in the agriculture and oil industries to fabricate underground storage tanks that provide total environment protection solutions. Safety, quality, and efficiency factor into every step of our superior manufacturing processes and give our customers peace of mind in any application.
UL listed and tested per UL standard 58+UL1746.
Elutron tanks have a limited 30-year warranty when storing flammable and combustible liquids.
We ship every tank with cleaned and level fittings. This saves installers several hours they would otherwise spend cleaning fittings on other manufacturers’ tanks. TrueNorth Steel delivers each tank to the site with a factory-established interstitial vacuum and pressure valve. This saves installers hours of time compared to fiberglass-core tanks, which require extensive pre-installation testing on-site, including visual tests, internal pressurization and external soap suds testing.
Underground Fuel Tanks
Steel fuel storage tanks are a viable option for your fuel, chemical or oily water storage. Safety, fire codes, aesthetics, limited available real estate for distance requirements, SPCC compliance or even fear of vandalism or tampering, these are all factors when you’re planning fuel or hazardous material storage. The EPA regulates the type of tank that can be buried. The sti- P3 tank design meets and exceeds those regulations for underground petroleum and chemical storage.
Underground Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank
At TrueNorth Steel our tanks are often made to customer specifications, but we have standard sizes available. The most significant advantage of underground DEF tanks is the lower running costs compared to above ground tanks. Many bulk storage containers require special equipment and maintenance costs to maintain the appropriate DEF storage temperature of 14°F (-10°C) to 86°F (30°C), but underground storage tanks do not. However, the start-up costs for an underground storage tank are high, including the site excavation, and transportation and anchoring the tank. In some U.S. states, there are also fees for owning an underground tank.
Underground Water Tanks
Underground steel water tanks are a reliable option for any location needing to store non-potable water or waste materials in an underground location. TrueNorth Steel tanks are equipped to handle the nature and conditions of underground storage. Available options include single wall or double wall models.
