West Magpie Creek

WATERSHED PROTECTION

Project Profile

Materials & Equipment Environmentally Sensitive Stream Crossing EcoArch™ 138” X 40’ Engineered Steel Footing Pads
Location: Dixon, MT
Owner: Consolidated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT)
Contractor: Kendall Dupuis Logging
Consulting Engineer: CSKT
Application: West Magpie Creek supports West Slope Cutthroat Trout. It was necessary to remove a perched culvert pipe to allow Salmonid migration and prevent a genetically isolated population.
Special Project Elements: About four miles of the creek are inhabited by fish but it was divided by segments of the perched culvert and needed a viable solution that could be installed in the remote location.

Why this product versus others?

EcoArch™ product is pre-assembled and ready to set. The excavator was able to set 20’ sections on lightweight corrugated footing pads and simply bolt them together.
