Otto Spies Wildlife Management Area Stormwater Control
|scope||Polymer-coated CSP, Stop Log Structure|
The North Dakota Fish and Wildlife Service and Steel County Highway Department needed to replace a county road crossing in Hope, ND. Spring flooding events often exceeded the design capacity of the crossing, which had been washed out at least once. It had also been removed and replaced previously due to the effects of the corrosive soil conditions. TrueNorth Steel’s solution was to implement polymer-coated corrugated steel pipe and a stop log structure due to cost-effectiveness and 75-year design life.
