The Montana Department of Transportation ran into an issue with the soil they were building a bypass on through Ronan, MT. The soil was so poor that it couldn’t support the weight of a human, let alone a bypass. To remedy this, TrueNorth Steel used Tensar InterAx NX850 and Non-Woven Geotextile to allow for drainage and stabilization. This was the first time the MTDOT had used this material, and it proved to be a great solution for this project.
