S.U.R.F (Ross Shaft) is located in Lead, South Dakota, at the former Homestake Gold Mine, which has now been converted into a dedicated science facility. The research facility has many experiments going on, one of them the “LUX Experiment” and the study of neutrino is located 4,850 feet underground. TrueNorth Steel® has been working on S.U.R.F since June of 2013.
