Maintenance Tech

The Industrial Maintenance Tech is responsible for all maintenance work at the facility.

Essential Position Requirements:

  • Perform scheduled, unscheduled or critical repairs and maintenance on equipment throughout fabrication area, yard and office areas.

  • Perform repairs and maintain safety equipment throughout the properties.

  • Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance to equipment as required.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Ability to communicate with equipment manufactures support department.

  • Ability to order parts for equipment as required.

  • Possess a valid Driver’s License.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

  • Work at elevations up to 30 feet.

  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain and wind).

  • Prompt and dependable attendance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Electrical experience/school required.

  • Three years experience in industrial maintenance strongly preferred.

  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read and write English.

  • Read tape measure to 1/16”.

  • Advanced mechanical & electrical knowledge and experience.

  • Understand electrical control.

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings.

  • Ability to perform a LOTO and document properly.

  • The Industrial Maintenance Tech must be able to climb stairs, bend at the waist, twist, climb, stoop, stand, walk, grasp, pull, push, and have the full use of fingers on both hands to enable safe material handling, as well as function efficiently and safely in the outdoor work environments with exposure to weather extremes.
  • The Industrial Maintenance Tech must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions in a shop environment, as well as effectively communicate (verbal and written) with coworkers.

FLSA Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
